Workflow guide

Use image-to-video when composition is settled but motion is not

The source should carry identity, layout and visual priority. The prompt should describe what moves, what stays stable and how the camera behaves over time.

01

Choose the right input shape

Wan 2.5 and Wan 2.6 each accept one image. Wan 2.7 frame mode accepts one or two images, while its clip mode accepts exactly one source video. These are separate workflows, not interchangeable upload slots.

02

Describe motion without rewriting the image

Name the subject movement, environmental movement and camera movement in that order. If the last frame matters, describe the transition between states rather than repeating what is already visible.

03

Inspect the source before spending credits

Check cropping, orientation, unwanted text and whether the main subject is readable. Workspace then validates media count, duration, resolution and the final server quote before submission.
