Start from text, frames or mixed references

Start from text, first and last frames, or references. Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Mini accept up to twelve references: nine images, three videos and three audio files. Seedance 2.5 supports up to thirty images, ten videos and ten audio files, and adds video editing and extension.

• Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Mini generate 4–15 second videos; Seedance 2.5 supports 4–30 seconds and can edit an existing video.
• Choose 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K output. Available aspect ratios depend on the workflow.
• Optional generated audio is available from the advanced controls.

Credits depend on the selected model, resolution, duration and references. The studio shows the total before generation.

Prepare the right source files

Use JPEG, PNG or WebP images up to 10 MB, videos up to 100 MB and audio up to 15 MB per file. Seedance 2.5 video editing accepts reference images up to 30 MB. Check the selected workflow for supported formats and reference limits.

Follow every result in Creations

See when a video is queued, generating, ready, failed or refunded. Finished videos can be downloaded from your private Creations history.

When Seedance is the practical choice

Use Seedance 2 Mini for lower-cost drafts, Seedance 2 for text, frame or reference generation, and Seedance 2.5 for longer videos, larger reference sets, editing or extension. Choose the duration and resolution that suit your project.

• Use Mini for lower-cost iteration, then move up only when the project needs it.
• Use a first and optional last frame when composition matters more than a large reference set.
• Use reference mode for identity, motion or sound cues that cannot be stated precisely in text alone.
