Reveal a subject through movement
Begin with an obstructed or partial view, then use subject or camera motion to reveal the important detail. Define the starting composition and the final visual fact.

Let the environment carry the change
Keep the subject readable while light, weather, particles or surrounding objects evolve. This gives the clip one dominant transformation instead of several competing ones.

Assign one job to each reference
Use one reference for identity, another for clothing or material, and another for setting or motion. Remove any file whose role is unclear or whose details contradict the main reference.

Pair every edit with an invariant
For source-video editing, state both the desired change and the feature that must remain. For example: change the environment while preserving subject timing and camera path.
